What happens when you press Verify
- 01Your browser reads the original file and rebuilds the cryptographic commitment using the salt stored in your proof package.
- 02The rebuilt commitment is compared with the one recorded in the proof. Any change to the file, however small, fails here.
- 03The blockchain evidence named in the proof is re-fetched from the public network and checked against that commitment.
A VERIFIED result means the file matches the proof and the public blockchain record was confirmed. It does not certify the contents, authorship or legal validity of a document — see the Terms of Service.
